My Victory Song
in Faith Poems
God's love sets me free.
This is my victory song.
His grace is sufficient for me.
It is what keeps me strong.

in Faith Poems
Rest, my soul, in God's love
as you live every day.
Relax in His faithfulness
as you go along your way.
Beautiful. If we would only do this, problems solved. Reading this will set one at peace.
Focus on self only makes
the world a dreary place to live.
But you make it a brighter scene
when you find a way to give.
"Leave a gift for someone
who won't find out it's from you."
That is hitting the bull's eye of generosity, and it's fun.
You've got quite an easy style
with a tender heart to match,
and how you'd wear a cheerful smile
then that kindly voice attach.
There was a time when I no longer believed in best friends. I had been heartbroken by a primary school friend and had lost all hope. One day I met a girl who is my best friend now. She has...
You pass off as no big deal
Lots of splendid, gracious acts.
Friends like you are rare indeed;
That is just a simple fact.
I'll just like to add that I wasn't so sure about sharing this with the person who was its main inspiration - a colleague at work; wondering if he'd find it corny. But considering how well he...
We never know if we're right
If we're not willing to be wrong.
We never know how far we'd go
If we never fight hard and long.
A wonderful poem and so true...

She does her battles quietly,
For her kids, on her knees.
Spending many sleepless nights,
So our lives can be with ease.
Abimbola T. Alabi, you are a wonderful poet. I have read your poetry, love the "work" poem, as well. I can tell you write from the heart and through experiences, which makes for the best...
I thought I knew colors.
Aren't they red, green and blue?
I know white, black and grey,
Purple, pink and yellow too.
I really enjoyed this poem because it rings so true. I don't know how people can tell the slight differences between colors. It's like a language I can't really understand or relate to.
Striving daily for progress,
Learning a paradox too --
That it's not always forward movement;
Sometimes, the reverse will do.
I've only just found this poem of yours - I like it very much. I must look out for more of your work. Very best wishes, Ann.
I have seen what words can do,
As I deal with people everywhere;
The tongue is powerful, it's true!
Something to tame and use with care.
That was such a kind and honest evaluation. I can't take all the credit for this particular poem though. I owe it to my mum - the first person to point out Prov. 15:1 to me in the Bible, and...
