1. Loneliness (Haiku)
Aching heart and mind
Needs touch of a caring soul
Yearning company.
This ancient form of poem writing is renowned for its small size as well as the precise punctuation and syllables needed on its three lines. It is of ancient Japanese origin. It contains 17 syllables in 3 lines of five, seven, five. Haiku poems are typically about nature and usually about a specific season. Writing a haiku requires effort but the poem is well worth it. It is easy to feel a sense of perfection when viewing a perfectly formed Haiku.
Aching heart and mind
Needs touch of a caring soul
Yearning company.
This poem touches me because I am currently in a very bad place...
I feel as though a good portion of my family has abandoned me, due to my recent actions...
I need to recognize that I am...

Warm fall afternoons,
crisp cool eves with harvest moons,
crickets singing tunes,
I'm so happy you enjoyed "Hello Autumn." It has always been my favorite season of the year. I had to think of a way to sum it up completely for a Haiku style poem and this is what I came up...

Fresh spring morning time.
That's the sound of solitude,
the presence of peace.
Bees nudged the flowers
Babies peeped out of the nest
One fine crisp morning.
Beautiful sunrise
On a warm summer morning.
I wait for day's start.
Picking up pebbles
Or seashells strewn on soft sand
Pure relaxation.
So beautiful! So Enchanting! LOVE the Imagery!
Calm as a river
Tranquility in my heart
Blue summer skies reign.
Crescent of colours
Arching high above our heads.
Sunshine brings us hope.
Yellow flame flickers
Shadows dance upon the wall
Love grows ever strong.
You and me alone
Madness of world locked away
Peace and quiet reigns
Strokes of affection
Light and tenderly expressed
Keep love’s bonds so strong.
Like crunchy cornflakes
Gold leaves rustle underfoot
Beauty in decay.
I like Haikus and I like this one very much. It goes to prove that just a few well-chosen words can say more effectively than pages full. I love the comparison of cornflakes to dead leaves...
Coolness fills the air
Scarves and sweaters everywhere
Fall weather is here
This poem helps me to experience the love of autumn! It's a great visual!
Full strawberry moon,
ushers in hot days of June,
high tides fill the dune,
Melancholy moods,
shiny jazz and rainy blues.
April sings her tunes!
Mellow, mild, May day,
calling children out to play.
Summer's on her way!
Spring brings happiness
Flowers, songbirds, and green grass.
God's love on display.
Winter fights to stay.
Sweet Spring always wins her way.
Flowers bloomed today!
A misty morning -
Pumpkins in the air, while boots
Crunch on autumn leaves.
