Lonely Poem

When I Was Lonely

I used to look up at the stars at night and think. I wrote this a little before I started going out with my wonderful boyfriend and I hope it helps all of the people out there who are like me when I was lonely.

Thank you for helping me cry. I usually stop myself, but this time I let them go. Thank you again. Your poetry is beautiful.

The Stars Above

Orange and pink shoot across the sky.
I can see it from where I lie.
The sun is setting, going to sleep,
The dark surrounds, like the ocean deep.

The stars come, twinkling lights,
Glittering diamonds, what a sight.
I lie in the grass and up I stare.
My body goes numb as I forget all my cares.

I like to gaze up at the stars,
So I can forget my cares and all my scars,

I have no one to look after me,
The real me is someone no one can see,
So I'll wait until I find some sort of love,
And until then it's just me and the stars above.

I too, enjoy looking up at the stars. Everynight during the summer (when the weather here permits) I sit by my camp fire... alone, wishing for some sort of company.
Ever since my love decided that he could not take the pain that I have caused him throughout the last few years. He was tired of hurting. . ..
... and it kills me still, even now... except when I lie beneath the midnight in the company of stars.

EXCELLENT POETRY SKILLS. YOU ARE VERY TALENTED. I AM HAPPY TO HEAR ABOUT THE LOVE YOU FINALLY FOUND. I WISH YOU HAPPINESS FOR MANY MANY YEARS TO COME.
