Poem About Cherishing Husband

Frances and I celebrated our 65 anniversary on October 5, 2008, with about 200 of our friends and relatives. The following Monday, Frances was diagnosed with colon cancer which had spread to her liver. On December 18, 2008, I rushed her back to the hospital. They did everything possible to save her, but she died at 8:15 a.m. on December 19, 2008. I am so thankful for the loving poem she wrote to me.

Do you know how important you are to my life?
How you have brought me great joy as a mother and wife?

Do you know your expressions of kindness and praise
Have encouraged me so and brought warmth to my days?

I am so proud and grateful for all that you have done
As you have helped make our marriage a happy one.

And I want you to know that for all of our life
You'll be needed and cherished and loved by your wife.

My future wife and I met online and a couple of weeks later arranged to meet in person at a coffee shop. That day my wife was talking to an acquaintance, a person that I had never met. As I was walking through the entrance to the coffee shop this acquaintance said to my future wife, "You're going to marry that man". At the time my wife didn't pay much attention to her remark but sure enough less then a year later we were married. Now this acquaintance of my future wife had no reason to say that as she had no idea who I was as we had never met each other.

I was looking for a nice poem for my husband on our 11th anniversary today, and I found this gem. Such beautiful love. I loved this poem and how beautifully the husband has shared this. This came straight from the heart.
