There’s sunrise in the garden,
There’s sunrise in the hall,
There’s sunrise in the kitchen
Chasing shadows from the wall,
And light is snagging darkness
On specks of shiny dew,
That soak our shoes and socks
With a special kind of new.
There’s sunrise in my cereal
And sunrise on my toast,
Of all the parts of every day,
It’s sunrise I like most.
Love this poem and children will too, it's delightful poetry that one can sing along to.
