I wish you'd always love me the way you do in the winter,
When your heart is desperate for the warmth of my love
And you need my affection to melt the ice coursing through your veins.
When you need my smile to clear your foggy thoughts
And my kisses to thaw the pain.
But by spring you've pushed me away
Because you've sprouted feelings for another.
Now your heart's rooted in a place where the love can bloom
Though you let mine melt with the snow.
But winter is long gone and spring has brought a reassuring breeze.
You can see the sun in the sky and the vegetation in the trees.
Now you've found love and I'm lost in the love we had.
And I'm asking the winds to bring it back.
By summertime, our paths don't seem to cross.
Our feelings have perspired in the sweltering heat,
And our love is smothered under blasting ACs.
Yet I still need to know that you're there,
Because my heart can't bear another season without you.
Along comes autumn,
And I've fallen in love with you all over again.
Poem About Losing The Guy I Loved
I loved this dude so much, and I even told him, but I told him not to reply because I knew, and I still know, it's never going to work out between us. It's what it is, sad but true.
