I messed up today, not something I wanted to do.
I ruined a relationship by going off on you.
You wanted to be right, but I forced you to be wrong,
now you're packing, saying, alright then, I'm gone.
Because of my actions you don't want to talk,
so I'm chewing on my harsh words like a piece of chalk.
It hurt me when you threw your love in my face,
but now I'm backing up and giving you space.
So now I look out the window hoping you wouldn't leave,
crying inside because you were home for me.
