Teen Crush Poem

A Girl Who Doesn't Love Me Back

In the fifteenth year of my life I experienced complete obsession over a girl. I spent months talking with this girl and finally, on November 21, 2015, I plucked up the courage to tell her how I felt. I wrote this poem during the months leading up to my confession, but now it means even more to me as a message of what might have been. Nobody has ever read this poem, and I couldn't care less what people think of it. I just wish for someone to understand how I feel about this girl.

I'm a werewolf, you're my mistletoe,
Poisoning my logic.
You're Kryptonite to my Superman,
Driving me neurotic.
I'm a vampire and I shall impart;
You're the stake within my heart,
Tearing my world apart.
You're just so hypnotic.

When I'm with you my heartbeat slows.
To give you an ovation,
I'll do anything you say.
Sheer manipulation,
My biggest goal is for you to be mine.
If you were, I'd hit cloud nine.
Over you I have pined
Since the beginning of time.

You're the one that keeps me going.
Without you I'd give in.
You guard me like a living angel,
Keeping me from sin.
Your name is music to my ears.
The thought of you confronts my fears.
I think of us and burst to tears.
