What is love?
Love is a dangerous thing,
But once you find the one,
It all becomes clear.

Love is where you stand by your love,
No matter the situation,
Hold their hand in the storm,
Never let go.

Shield them from danger,
Hold them close,
Even in the darkest of places,
Never let them go.

Love them no matter what,
And when my day comes,
I will thank you for the best times.

I'm in a situation where I'm in love with my best friend. I tried my best to build up the courage to tell her how I feel about her, but I was too scared to actually do it. The day I finally decided to tell her she came and told me that she got a boyfriend. I felt like my heart had been shattered into a million pieces, so now I'm just here being her best friend and looking at her being loved by someone else.
