It's raining hard with thunder bolts
and lighting with a thousand volts.
You try your hardest to keep dry;
it seems the rain won't let you by.
You make a dash from door to door,
trying to dodge the hard downpour.
It can't be beat that endless flow.
You can't shelter from it all night, you know,
so brave the torrent and make a dash,
and ignore the thunder bolts that crash.
Just come on home; it's cozy here,
and I will say, "I love you, dear."
