I'm sorry I couldn't be
what I really wanted to be.

I'm sorry I couldn't be
the one you really loved.

I'm sorry I couldn't be
your only one forever.

I'm sorry you couldn't love me,
like I wanted you to love me.

I'm sorry you didn't love me
like you said you really loved me.

Now I can't help but to think,
after we make love, is this true?

And as I look into the mirror,
letting those tears fall

What's the point of wiping them away,
if they're only going to come back?

And the only thing
I can think of is;

I'm sorry I couldn't be,
what I really wanted to be.
