Daughter Poem

Short Poem From A Dad To Daughters

There's nothing I'm more proud of in life than my daughters, Brittany and Kolby. I don't know of any greater achievement in life than raising children, and I especially feel blessed to have been able to father two daughters. There's a special bond between a father and his daughters that goes much deeper than just love. Turmoil and time have tested that bond on several occasions, and I now believe that bond is stronger than ever. I love you girls! -Dad.

You float on the spring winds that blow,
and cause the morning sun to glow.

You are the warmth of a summer's day,
and the softness of an autumn rain.

You are on my mind each day and night,
you are my beautiful butterfly.

This poem really has a lot to say, and in it, I think I can feel a parent's struggle: to care for their children, but also to know when to let them go. And acknowledging that. This really encouraged me, because I am a daughter and although our parents may not always say it, they speak their love through actions - but this was a beautiful reminder. So thank you.
