I know when I was little we were not close
I always wanted you to love me the most
I did things to get your attention
That I knew I should have not
I am sorry Mom, all the years we fought
I understand now that you are a precious gift
That God sends to every girl on his long, long list
If it wasn't for you I would not be who I am
God picked you for me Mom
