Be Proud Of Who You Are

I come with no wrapping or pretty pink bows.
I am who I am, from my head to my toes.
I tend to get loud when speaking my mind.
Even a little crazy some of the time.
I'm not a size 5 and don't care to be.
You can be you and I can be me.
I try to stay strong when pain knocks me down.
And the times that I cry are when no one's around.
To error is human or so that's what they say.
Well, tell me who's perfect anyway.

I like this. Yes, this is so true. We should be proud of who we are. We should not try to change ourselves in order to please someone. We should be always thankful and satisfied with what we have, because many people in this world are struggling for the blessings we have today, and sadly we often don't realize it.

Wow...the lines are awesome. The poet used wonderful poetic devices and has touched my soul. These lines have drenched me in their beauty, from crown of my head to heel of my toe. This is really awesome.

The poem touched my mind. A man has freedom to do what he wishes. But there is someone to lead him, and He is the Lord. Only the Lord knows who is perfect. The poet has a deep realization that I like most.

The poem is a message for change in our society. Young people live by what people say they are and not by who they want to be.

I really enjoyed this poem. It's so down to earth, something that is rare anymore. Years ago we were told, "Be yourself!" So many young girls struggle these days to be what they see, not who they are. I just loved this poem!

When you have a friend, cherish every single moment because you may never get that moment again. If you love them, keep them.

Yeah, that's true. People nowadays have lost their personalities. They no longer live according to who they are, but according to what others say they are.

This poem is incredible! I've googled the author, and it has come to my attention that they're not widely known, but they sure should be! This is such a family friendly poem, and the author should be very proud of themselves. I will definitely be sharing this with my friends and family! Nice work.

I love this poem! People are always trying to fit in and be normal. I've always disregarded being "normal." What's the point? Why would I be someone I am not? I am perfectly happy the way I am. I do not have the perfect body, but you know, I am okay with that. I am proud of who I am!

That poem describes me to a t. That's exactly how I feel. I'm a tiny woman and got made fun of a lot in school and have been in bad relationships. I even got a kidney disease. And I have always said I'm proud of who I am, and nobody is going to make me change...

My best friend has left to go to prison for five years. Not a day that goes by that I don't think about her and as every day that passes I miss her more and more. I often find myself wanting to cry like right now I have a huge lump in my throat. I write her a lot and always sending cards trying to put that Beautiful smile back on her face, the one I remember before she had to go away.

The last sentence, who is perfect? I know who is...his name is Jesus. He died for your sins and wants to be your friend. God loves you just the way you are.
