Just a simple smile, a soft caress, a sweet kiss.
Just a step away, an arm's length, from unthinkable bliss.
Just a two word 'I do,' a ring on the finger, a honey moon.
Just a shared home, a kid made, a safe cocoon.
Just two kids grown up, a love for life, a peaceful dream.
Just the hope that lingers, a good night sleep, gone to extreme.
Just two adults grown old, a gift of love, a meaningful glance.
Just holding hands, a thoughtful hug, an afterlife dance.
