You say you love me, you say you care
And yet, you're never there.
I remember you yelling, screaming, abusing
To you this was all amusing.
Crushing my dreams and breaking my spirit
Be quiet! I don't need to hear it.
You can have your booze and your drugs,
But I really need and miss your hugs.
I hear your laugh inside my head
It haunts me as I lay in bed.
When I close or blink my eyes I see your smile
Gosh... haven't seen that in a while.
You used to love me, and once you did care
And now... You're never there
