I'm tired of your apologies,
I'm tired of your lies.
You've left me feeling empty,
Ready to say goodbye.
I've given you my heart.
I've given you my soul.
I'm tired of feeling empty,
Just once more to feel whole.
Show me you love me,
Whole-heartedly and undoubtedly
Give me reason to believe
That we were meant to be.
Give me hope and understanding.
These are just some of what I need.
I'm drowning in a feeling
That what we had may be gone,
But I'm praying that feeling is wrong.
I'm tired of your apologies.
I'm tired of your lies.
Please give it all you've got before I say goodbye.

Your poem perfectly describes the relationship with who I thought was the love of my life, but I sorely found out that he loved drinking more than me. I found out in the end he was also calling his ex behind my back. It really hurt for a long time. I still think about it sometimes, but I read your poem a lot in this. It helped me get through, and I’m happy in my marriage now with a different man with whom I now have a beautiful two-year-old daughter, so thank you.

You have made me think that I was the one for you. You fooled me in that way that I could not see all the lies you were telling me and all the bad stuff you were doing behind my back. I always prayed for my relationship with you to work out. I always told myself that you will be the father of my children, but I guess I also fooled myself. I also believed you when you said "I love you." I always felt that fast heartbeat. I thought you were the one.

You're writing is amazing and really hit home. I'm at the point you described in my marriage now. It seems like one of the hardest and most lonely points in a relationship. Thank you for sharing.
