November Harbinger
Brilliant lonely star on high,
In the fiery charcoal sky,
in Haiku
Warm fall afternoons,
crisp cool eves with harvest moons,
crickets singing tunes,
I'm so happy you enjoyed "Hello Autumn." It has always been my favorite season of the year. I had to think of a way to sum it up completely for a Haiku style poem and this is what I came up...
in Fall Poems
What a difference a day makes,
twenty-four little hours.
Cool chill in the air,
Your very first breath of life, I was there.
Tiny miracle of God, you appeared,
overflowing with joy, my eyes cried a tear,
outstretching my arms to hold you so near.
I am feeling almost speechless right now. How can I respond to your poem with words appropriate enough that could honor your precious sister Kelly? You describe an amazingly strong girl who endured more than can ever be imagined, and I can only say I believe that you were blessed by her as she was blessed by you. I am sure she is doing all those things you wished for her and more in Heaven and also watching over you! Your poem is beautiful and filled with such love for your sister. I am sure she wants you to have a beautiful life in honor of her!
Aren't they the most loyal friends? Love this poem. Although I don't know your furry pal, I feel like I already do from your poem. Cherish and enjoy your days together.
I absolutely love your poem. Just beautifully written. I think this prayer poem will be shared by many. Thank you so much for sharing.
I also love nature and especially Fall. I really enjoyed this poem, and I love your unique descriptions. To me, anyone who can describe nature like this is truly in touch with themselves and the world. Thanks so much for sharing!
Such a good poem. I wish everyone understood how quickly our lives go by and would cherish life and every day. I wish they would learn to live in peace and make peace. I also look back on those loved ones I miss so very much, and I can see how fast the years went by and now they're gone. But I thank God that I had that time with them. We cannot make time stop or go back, and life always holds some regrets, so I guess all we can do is go forward and take with us only our best memories and learn from the rest. You really put thought into this poem. Thank you for sharing!
