Darling, if you'd let me, that's all you'd ever hear

I'd whisper that I love you and how beautiful you are
And that your beauty's not matched by those near or far

I'd whisper that no one could match your sweet charm
And you make a dream come true when you hold me in your arms

I'd tell you night and day how much you mean to me
I'd whisper that my love for you is as deep as the sea

I'd whisper that the touch of you makes my life worthwhile
And you brighten up my day with just a smile

And darling, if you're counting the sweet things I say to you
I'm sure you'll agree that by now it's more than two
       
No words can describe what you mean to me
No one can take the angel wings that through my eyes I see

You reached down and pulled me out of the bottle
Where I had sunk as low as a man can go
You held on to me until I could stand on my own
And why you bothered, I guess I'll Never know

For a while, I stood on my own and held my head up high
But again I started drinking, I have no reason why
I'm asking once again to hold me, till I can stand on my own
Where I can see clear again, and I won't be alone.

I have no right to ask you, you've been through this before
But I can't make it without you, so I'm asking you once more
To hold me once again, till I can hold my head up high
I promise this will be the last time, that I'll ask you to try

Today I held you in my arms for the first time, something I just had to do,
I felt so many old lost feelings, some even whispered I love you.
 
With you in my arms today darling, with your soft lips pressed to mine,
I felt so many old lost feelings, feelings I never thought I'd find.
 
You seem so sweet and so lovely, you stir the feelings of my soul,
Feelings of love and of passion, feelings of new and of old.
