When do we discover the measure of our worth? Is it something in our DNA? Have we had it since our birth?
Is it something that we have to learn, something we get taught?
Or is it something we can find on line to be traded, sold or bought?
Is it something very rare like a limited edition?
Or is it something that will be passed down like a family tradition?
Will we know it when we see it? How will we know for sure? Will everyone's be different or will mine look just
like yours?
Where there be some kind of warning? Where there be some sort of sign? Will they call us to come pick it up? Will we have to stand in line?
Or will we just wake up one day and it's right where it should be!
The measure of our worth is in our own integrity!

You're the Hero in my story Lin. On the very day that you moved in.
  Filled the darkness and my lungs with light and oxygen!
You replaced our fears with laughter and gave us hope when there seemed none.
Reminding us we were still alive and the permission to have fun.
You taught us to be grateful you taught us to be brave.
You taught us why we say our prayers
  and how our souls are saved.
You played us music almost every night
And taught us songs to sing.
  You sprinkled Joy and Happiness on to everything.
  So without saying this poem goes
that the way I feel about you shows
Of how you touched my very soul and changed my life anew.
  Every day I thank the Lord For the Miracle of You!

We are here to celebrate your life
And the measure of its worth
And every single life you touched
While you were on this earth.
We wish to pay our last respects.
That's why we are all here,
To thank you for your friendship
And all the memories we hold dear.
It's been a privilege to have known you.
We were family, not just friends,
And we will carry you in spirit
Until we meet up once again.
