I can't call you my Father,
And you're certainly not my Pop.
I wouldn't call you PaPa
Because to me you're certainly not.
I can't call you my Pappy,
Nor could I call you Dad.
You're definitely not my Daddy.
One of these I already have,
But I can call you Honey.
My best friend I have in you.
A loving caring husband,
A gent who's kind and true,
My guy of tender gentle words
You place within my heart.
The one who's strong and steady
And has been from the start,
A man that's more appreciated
More than I can ever say.
I'm saying this to wish you
A special Father's Day!

How can we doubt God's wondrous love
And see a pure white flying dove.
A ray of sunshine from the sky
A tiny baby peacefully lies.
See the puffy clouds among the blue
And watch the golden poppies bloom.
Hear the charming song the blue birds sing
The joy and laughter little children bring,
A loving smile on someone's face
A rainbow appearing anyplace.
How can we doubt God's wondrous love

I remember when you were small
enough to fit inside the bend of my arm,
Your little hand wrapped around my finger,
They named you Gerald Wayne and called you Jerry.
With your happy smile, and your chatty talk,
You captured my heart right from the start
I tended to your needs, wiping tears, scraped-up knees,
Holding hands, and making sure I was near while you slept.
The little tot who played with dead flies,
On the windowsill, and crawling spiders.
The adventurous kid who caught tadpoles and frogs,
And wore nothing other than cutoff shorts,
No shirt, and sprinted around barefoot,
And learnt how to swim in an irrigation canal.
I watched you grow with open eyes,
From a little tot, to an on-the-go kid, to a teen,
To storms you should have never had to face.
Now you stand grown, with your battles behind you,
And still, when I look at you, I see a little boy
My heart never stopped protecting. I am proud of you
Proud of the man you fought to become.
Proud that the world did not harden
All the goodness out of you.
Brother, you were never just my brother,
You are a piece of my childhood.
A life I loved before I knew what the rest was all about.
And though you no longer need my hand to guide you
I will always remember the boy you were,
And always love the man you are.
No matter how grown you become,
You will always be the little boy I remember
And the man I will always love and be proud of..

May we learn about Jesus and his time here on earth,
Understand his crucifixion and the miracle of his birth

May we read bible scriptures his word to obey
To use as a guide all the time day by day

Have church hymns to sing enough to fill up our souls
May we always seek righteousness for our spirit to be whole

Have God's blessings by numbers, have abundance of faith
Have convictions not many through God's saving grace

Say prayers to help others don't forget the amens
Find amazing guidance from God's loving hands

May we have praise in our hearts and rejoice in God's love
And seek our salvation from our Savior above.

A fine lady.
So gallantly strong,
She stands for the good,
The righteous, and God.

At a small little church she faithfully arrives.
She walks quietly about as she silently sighs.
She greets with a hug with outstretched hands.
"How are you doing today? Glad to see you," she says.

I gently embrace her and ask, "How are you doing?
You look pretty today."
With a sad glow in her eyes, she says,
"It's been kinda rough,
But our God's on my side,
And I'm hanging in tough."

With a soft smile on her face, she sits in a pew,
Among family and friends and others she knew.
She graciously prays with her head slightly bowed,
Singing God's hymns with a soft whispering sound.

As she rises to leave, I squeeze her arm and say,
"You look so beautiful and much better today."
She speaks with a quick grin as she touches my cheek
And replies with a voice that's suddenly weak.
"It's a little rough, but you know me,
I'm hanging in tough."

She faithfully arrives at the little church
One last time.
She was carried by loved ones
And friends by her side,
A bouquet was placed on the pew
Where she once sat,
With flowers and ribbons and banner that read:

God's taking me home.
His ride won't be rough,
For my days are all over for me.
Hanging in tough.

God handpicked our singing angel
To sing in his heavenly home
She's singing with the angel choir
And around God's golden throne

When the angel came and took her hand
She whispered, "Come with me
God has a home in his great kingdom
You will sing for eternity."

She's joined the ringing harp strings
She's earned her pure white wings
Her voice so much an angel
Will be ringing as she sings

She'll be singing Hallelujah
Praise God with lifting hands
Singing hymns and ballads
Through God's glory land

We loved our angel here on earth
Her songs so pure and true
The peace of God rang in her voice
When she sang for me and you

Heaven gained a singing angel
And we will miss her here below
The remembrance of her endearing voice
Is embedded within our souls

So when we remember her
She'll be a song upon our hearts
She'll forever sing in her new home
With God's angels and the ringing harps

I've loved and worshiped my whole life long,
I've lent a fair hand now and then.
I've praised the best, I've prayed for the rest.
I comfort the lonely once again.

I've been strong in my faith, I've lived by your word.
Lord, I've obeyed your commands.
Now my body and soul are long overdue,
So Lord, will you take me home too?

Lord, you've taken home the weak, you've taken
The strong, you've taken the old and the new.
You've taken the ones that I've loved the most.
So Lord, will you take me home too?

My dear husband I miss, all my friends have gone on.
I've noticed you called them home too.
There's no one familiar I see around me,
So Lord, will you take me home too?

Don't leave me behind in this crazy old world.
I'm not wanting to stay here alone.
I've prepared myself to meet you real soon,
So Lord, will you take me home to.

As the twilight fell on the new crispy morn,
She grew still with a small peaceful smile.
My prayers have been answered and it's not too soon.
My Lord is taking me home too.
