Jac Judy A. Campbell is a poet by heart and a writer by nature, and she is thrilled to be able to share part of herself that others will enjoy. She reads a lot of good books and loves arts and crafts, sewing, crocheting, cooking, and growing a garden. She is happily married, takes care of her husband, and enjoys her children and grandchildren as much as possible.

Jac Judy A. Campbell lives in a little country house in the central California Valley, surrounded by grapes, almonds, walnuts, and just about any fruit you could wish for. She is happily retired and is thankful God has given her the time and knowledge to write whenever she chooses to pick up her pencil.

A Painted Lady Butterfly

A Beautiful Butterfly

With Great delight I see right before my eyes
Fluttering her wings once and again
A Beautiful Butterfly
Her balance a bit unsteady, as she

With Great delight I see right before my eyes
Fluttering her wings once and again
A Beautiful Butterfly
Her balance a bit unsteady, as she
Spread her wings in flight.
Around and around she circled such
A magnificent sight.
As she gently glides toward me, a closer
Look I then could see,
Such a colorful beauty, A Painted Lady
I'm sure is she.
Her colors of Gold and Yellow layered
Upon her back.
And as she fluttered up and down,
I see her wings are spotted black.
I slowly stretch my arms out front,
In slow motion she gently begin to land.
A beauty of Gods creation sitting upon my hand.
So if you see a Radiant Butterfly, enjoy the
Wonders of her flight,
She's come to land upon your hand,
She's a Painted Lady Butterfly

He Looks A Lot Like You

A few months after my husband passed I was going through some difficult adjustments getting use to being without him. One day my sister-in-law and I were walking down the street toward me and my husbands favorite deli-coffee shop. I couldn't believe my eyes there walking ahead I saw my husband. Now you and I both know that couldn't be possible, but I had to prove it to myself. Here is what happened. So I told it in a poem form.

On a crowded street I saw him
On a corner close to home
His walk was long and steady
He wore your style of clothes.

On a crowded street I saw him
On a corner close to home
His walk was long and steady
He wore your style of clothes.

I saw his muscles through his shirt
His shoulders about your size
Yet from the back his shape was yours
And he swayed from side to side.

As he turned my way he saw me
His look then caught my stare
Upon his head he wore a hat,
And there was silver in his hair.

His face is tanned, his eyes are blue
Upon his lips set a mustache too,
Oh did I forget to mention
He looks a lot like you.

He strolled into our coffee shop
He took your favorite chair,
And as he turned to greet me
I imagined you were there.

As our chit-chat became flirtatious
His charm was so much you,
I found myself inside his arms
Our dreams were all but few

As the evening found the morning
And each one's passion grew
I fixed myself around him and
The love was all but new.

Yet in my midnight dreams I found you
Because he felt so much like you
Oh did I forget to mention
He looked a lot like you

I'm just a simple writer
I use not fancy words
I only write what's in my head
With words from the old school

I'm just a simple writer

I only write what's in my head
With words from the old school
I like to tell some stories
Some tales and even more
Of my own true life happenings
That I have kept in store.
I like to write a poem or two
And try to rhyme a verse
And if it sounds a little silly,
Then it won't be the first
I'm just a common person
A poet now it seems,
If that's a fact I'll gladly accept
The challenge of my dreams.
I'll keep on writing when I can
To share some tales and woes
And hopefully the poems you read
Will be a comfort to your soul.
The world will never rejoice or sing,
Nor will I win a golden globe
But I will always be content
To pen what's in my heart and soul

May we learn about Jesus and his time here on earth,
Understand his crucifixion and the miracle of his birth

May we read bible scriptures his word to obey

May we read bible scriptures his word to obey
To use as a guide all the time day by day

Have church hymns to sing enough to fill up our souls
May we always seek righteousness for our spirit to be whole

Have God's blessings by numbers, have abundance of faith
Have convictions not many through God's saving grace

Say prayers to help others don't forget the amens
Find amazing guidance from God's loving hands

May we have praise in our hearts and rejoice in God's love
And seek our salvation from our Savior above.
