Jac Judy A. Campbell is a poet by heart and a writer by nature, and she is thrilled to be able to share part of herself that others will enjoy. She reads a lot of good books and loves arts and crafts, sewing, crocheting, cooking, and growing a garden. She is happily married, takes care of her husband, and enjoys her children and grandchildren as much as possible.
Jac Judy A. Campbell lives in a little country house in the central California Valley, surrounded by grapes, almonds, walnuts, and just about any fruit you could wish for. She is happily retired and is thankful God has given her the time and knowledge to write whenever she chooses to pick up her pencil.

10 Commandments For A Husband

I wrote this cute poem, hoping no one takes it to heart; it's just some rules that would be nice to be able to follow. Don't worry, guys

1- Thou shall love and cherish thy wife unconditionally
(Never judging her condition.)

2- Thou shall honor thy bills and credit cards.

2- Thou shall honor thy bills and credit cards.

3- Thou shall listen and communicate with thy wife
(With our wearing earplugs)

4- Thou shall readily accept thy honey-dooooo list
(Except when thou feels lazy)

5- Thou shall eat all meals and smack thy lips in gratification.
(Never complaining about eating it two days in a row)

6- Thou shall not hog the pillows and blankets.

7- Thou shall share the T.V. and remote control during football season
( And thou shalt not complain)

8- Thou shall not be stingy with thy hugs and kisses.
(As that is where the heat comes from)

9- Thou shall not make wise cracks or mention thy wife's weight gain.
(Especially when her broad mind and narrow hips trade places)

10- Thou shall have compassion and understanding when
thy wife stomps her feet and slams the door.
(Especially when thy wife is P-M-S-ing.)

I am sitting here in a quiet early morning
There is a silent breeze whispering through the trees,
A Blue Jay is talking with his loud squawk
As he peeks through the trees at me.

I am sitting here in a quiet early morning

A Blue Jay is talking with his loud squawk
As he peeks through the trees at me.
There is a beautiful Dragonfly fluttering
Her wings up and down, in front of my eyes to see.
A Jack Rabbit hops, his furry tail across the yard
Then sits in the dusty field to hide,
His eyes have a story they want to tell.
A Big Black Beetle Bug with his legs sooo long,
Goes scurrying across the green grass,
To a deep hole in the ground.
The whispering, the squawking, the fluttering of wings,
And the hopping, of course, and even the dark hole,
It's really God, you know.

My Husband After He Passed Away

On a crowded street, I saw him
On a corner close to home,
His walk was long and steady,
He wore your style of clothes

On a crowded street, I saw him
On a corner close to home,
His walk was long and steady,
He wore your style of clothes

I saw his muscles through his shirt
His shoulders about your size,
Yet from the back his shape was yours
And he swayed from side to side.

As he turned my way, he saw me
His look then caught my stare,
Upon his head he wore a hat,
And there was silver in his hair.

His face is tanned, his eyes are blue
Upon his lip set a mustache too.
Oh, did I forget to mention
He looks a lot like you.

He strolled into our coffee shop,
He took your favorite chair,
And as he turned to greet me,
I imagined you were there.

As our chat became flirtatious
His charm was so much you,
I found myself inside his arms
Our desires were all but few

Oh, did I forget to mention?
He looked a lot like you

As the evening found the morning
And each one's passions grew,
I fixed myself around him and
And the love was all but new.

Yet in my midnight dreams I found you
Because he felt a lot like you.
Did I forget to tell you,

My Grandson

You were once a little guy,
So cute and such a joy,
In and out of mischief,
For such a little boy.

You were once a little guy,
So cute and such a joy,
In and out of mischief,
For such a little boy.
We shared fun and playdays,
But that can no longer be,
For you've grown up and big now,
And you've even grown bigger than me.
Through the years we have loved you,
And we still love you a lot,
Even though you've grown up and big,
And are no longer my little tot.
No matter how tall or big you grow,
Or what years have passed us by,
You will always and forever be
My Little Guy.
