21. Pumpkin, Oh Pumpkin
Pumpkin, oh Pumpkin,
Your candle light's bright.
Pumpkin, oh Pumpkin,
You shine bright through the night.
Pumpkin, oh Pumpkin,
Your candle light's bright.
Pumpkin, oh Pumpkin,
You shine bright through the night.

In darkest woods he wandered,
one moonless stormy night.
The tree limbs made him shiver
reaching out through lightning's light.
Great spooky writing! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I love to read Halloween/supernatural writing year round.

Dark and mysterious creepy night.
Pumpkin masks shining bright.
Scary monsters, witches' brew.
Trick or treat, you have to choose.
Halloween night is not what it seems;
Ghosts and ghouls haunting your dreams.
I walk among the spooky, old shack.
Beware the kiss of the living dead.
It will leave you wanting.
Hunger delays once he's fed
But soon restarts the hunting.
To all black cats, please listen keen!
Do fight the urge to see, be seen.
Tonight, avoid all humans mean.
My dears: Stay in on Halloween!
Shiver me timbers, rattle me bones,
it's All Hallows' Eve, and I'm on me way home.
Home to me wifey, me Katy, me best--
been three hundred years since they laid us to rest.
I bought a mermaid costume.
Somehow I lost the scales.
Wore it Halloween night
And looked just like a whale.
Each nose is twitching, excitement is itching.
Bats in our belfry are shy.
The hour of witching is rather bewitching
Halloween will soon pass us by
Wooden door; wide and creaky.
Sculking cat; snide and sneaky.
Skeletons; cold and clanky.
Madame Witch; old and cranky.
On 'Tober nights ere Witches' Moon,
spirits sway and creatures croon.
As darkness falls and shadows grow,
haints and haunters fain to show.
Famous Poem
Halloween is nearly here.
I’ve got my costume planned.
It’s sure to be the most horrific
outfit in the land.
Famous Poem
We bought a lot of candy bars.
We thought it would be neat
to have a ton for all the kids
who came to trick-or-treat.
Cold night on Craggy Height,
The witches make ready their yearly flight.
Old brooms rewoven, blackest cats chosen.
When they fly tonight, there'll be no dozing.
The sun set in the early eve.
No light could pierce those mammoth trees.
Dark and dense for miles wide,
You could wander lost forever inside.
Elegant in burnt orange afterglow,
Sparkling darkness opens the show.
Strangers arriving from all around;
Some even, from the bad side of town.
Famous Poem
A vampire bit my neck last night.
And, though it sounds insane,
some zombies chased me down the street
and tried to eat my brain.
In the fairy town of Dragonfly Cove, the air is filled with anticipation
For tonight is the town's biggest event, its Halloween celebration
The fairies are up with the first rays of the sun
Famous Poem
Hello, my name is Andy.
I’m a fan of eating candy.
It’s delicious and it’s dandy,
and my favorite thing to eat.
Rattle-skattle skeletons
clitter-clack each bone
Shrieksome banshees circle
and werewolves howl and moan.
