All that was is no longer
The white-hot heat of his love
Purifies her heart and soul
She rises from the ashes
Of her former hurt and heartache
Glowing and glorious, free
She stretches gossamer wings
Takes flight for the first time
Floating on the soft currents
Of his love and gentle affection
She is free, so utterly free
She could fly anywhere
She could do anything
She looks around, sees the choices
And then flies home to his arms
She is at her most free
When he touches her face
Whispers her name against her lips
Her beauty finds the surface
And she will take your breath away
In the afterglow of his love
The song in her heart is flawless
An intimate lover's song
Heard only by the most adored
And felt by the truly loved
She is free, so utterly free
She could fly anywhere
She could do anything
She looks around, sees the choices
And then flies home to his arms
At Home In His Arms
Gossamer Wings
