You left your fingerprint on my heart
I felt your pulse from the start,
everything was fine at the beginning we couldn't do enough
after six weeks things began to get rough,
I figured I deserved some of it I was always late
but you were only getting started
the next two years were hard
as you ramped up the pressure
of course it started verbal and loud
however physical is where you got your pleasure
I bear the scars of our love I really did love you
when you learned I wouldn't fight back
you really did launch your attacks
you wanted marriage I was never that keen
you took my sense of worth hell you even took my spleen
the third time you stabbed I decided we would part
yet through it all you still managed to leave your fingerprint on my heart.
