God gave me a family on Earth.
This family is just what you see,
Dysfunctional as any family could ever be.
You know, families aren't meant to be perfect,
just available, loving, and caring in the time of need, just to embrace and plant a loving seed.
My family is loud and boisterous, a little nosy too.
Lawdy, they are judgmental.
They feel that's what they were put here to do.
My family comes in all colors:
red, black, yellow and some white folks, too,
God does not limit a family just to please me and you.
This family has many talents:
leaders, teachers, doctors, lawyers, mentors, too.
There is so much value in this family.
I'm just proud to be a part of you.
