Faith And Courage In Life

Published by Family Friend Poems October 2008 with permission of the Author.

In life there are people that will hurt us and cause us pain,
but we must learn to forgive and forget and not hold grudges.

In life there are mistakes we will make,
but we must learn from our wrongs and grow from them.

In life there are regrets we will have to live with,
but we must learn to leave the past behind and realize it is something we can't change.

In life there are people we will lose forever and can't have back,
but we must learn to let go and move on.

In life there are going to be obstacles that will cause interference,
but we must learn to overcome these challenges and grow stronger.

In life there are fears that will hold us back from what we want,
but we must learn to fight them with the courage from within.

God holds our lives in his hands. He holds the key to our future.
Only he knows our fate.

He sees everything and knows everything.
Everything in life really does happen for a reason: "God's Reason"

I've been dealing with issues in my relationship with my husband. We have been married for 6 and a half years, we have 2 beautiful kids together, but come to find out he's been cheating on me with another female. I get this text message from this woman telling me that your husband is cheating on you with me, so she forwarded all the messages that he sent her to my email, and now my husband's telling me that I don't know what I'm talking about. Please women, don't fall for a man like that.

I'm sorry to hear about your cheating husband. I'm sure you're a great wife and mom! My advice to you, if you can find it in your heart to forgive, to keep your family together, then at least give it a try. If you choose to, you've got try your best to not bring that mess up. There's still hope for you, your marriage and family. I speak from experience, and I know how hurtful it is to have to carry on when you're in so much pain. Wishing you the best with your decision.

I am going through the very same thing with my spouse, but this poem confirmed for me the reason why. I plan to read this poem every day until I am delivered. It is a beautiful poem, and it douches the situation I have been dealing with for years, but now I really must let go and allow God to handle this.

That poem has really touched me. It was what I'm actually going through right now. My sister Vicky & my boyfriend Benji both like to say things to hurt my feelings. And here I try my best to forgive and ignore the words that they say to me. And I try to forgive them. Right now it's hard for me too because my mother has been in the hospital for a while because of her heart and she knows everything and she tells me to ignore them and to pray for them. I do, but it is hard sometimes. Now I read this poem and it really opens my eyes and now I know what I got to do. I'm the oldest of four and I have my baby sister who really looks up to me and cares for me and we talk about anything. I love this poem.

This poem is sweet and inspiring. I didn't know how to rate it, and I accidentally rated it one star, so when you see that, please don't take heart. It was an accident. I was going to give it 5. I'm putting it in my church bulletin (with author's name) =) Thank you!

I always tell to myself that everything that happens always has a reason behind it.. and as I read this message. It makes me understand more that life has its purpose and meaning..everything that happens has always a meaning in it..it is on you on how you take it whether, positively or negatively.. your life moves on depending on the decisions you make..whatever happens..what ever decisions we make..even if we fail or succeed..we just have to learn from it..because every reason is a learning to us..

What a truly amazing poem! She certainly hit home with what I am currently going through in my life. I felt so alone, with a four year old and one on the way. Your poem inspired me and helped me to realize that things may be tough, but put it in God's hands and all things will fall into place. Thank you so much, it's certainly appreciated. You are a very talented poet. :)
