Who can you really turn to when the chips are down?

A Parent's Heart

Published by Family Friend Poems July 2006 with permission of the Author.

When you feel like breaking down or crashing in,
Who do you turn to, to forgive your sin?
When you cried your lonely tears,
Who will be there to fight your fears?
And when it feels like no one would understand,
Who was there to hold your hand?

There are people whom you can't replace,
They're the ones who gave you your face.
They'll love you through thick and thin,
They show you the light from deep within.
And if by chance you happen to die,
They'll be the ones who will really cry.

You see, my friend, there's no one who can love you more
Than your very own parents, that's for sure.
Always remember this is true,
That wherever you go, your parents will be there for you.

My oldest son passed away on 12/01/2013. He had heart problems. His heart stopped and he passed away in his sleep. I am struggling with his death. It caused me to be diagnosed with PTSD and angina as well as depression! I would just like to honor him. He was a 25 year old father to his 5 year old son at the time. I miss my son dearly. He will never get to see his son to grow up and get married and become a father himself.

God bless you. I believe your son is up there looking down and watching over you. God has done miracles in my and my family's life, and love always finds a way. I pray that you will see God's hand in all of your family's lives to bless you in all you do and help guide you down a path that is best. Please keep your eyes open, and I got a feeling it's gonna work out.

I was browsing this site and read this. I am a dad of two
beautiful angels, 19 and 17, both boys. Every night when I lay down to sleep, I start missing them and can't wait to see them in the morning. I just wanted to tell you, your angel is in heaven, and if you listen really hard you will hear his voice. Brian
